Fellow application process

Student fellows can work on climate-action topics in organizations such as:
Start-ups and companies
Community-based organizations
Tribal Communities
Federal, state, and local government offices
Environmental Justice Organizations
Foundations

…and many more.

Note: The work has to take place in California but orgs can be local or national
Partners ideally have projects or programs meant to serve low resource communities

  • Summer 2023: outreach to identify and align with host organizations
  • October/November 2023: Post Fellowships and get applications
    • Fellows chosen by committee of faculty and staff
    • Following selection, Fellows will go through training and participate in community-building activities 
  • January 2024: Mixer and cohort program kick-off
  • February/March 2024:  Matching students and orgs
  • Spring 2024: topic-specific research and skills training to prepare for the fellowship.
